Safe Website Preview

See what a suspicious website looks like without your browser visiting it

Not sure if a link is safe? Enter the domain to view a cached screenshot of the website along with its safety score — all without your browser ever making contact with the target site. No tracking pixels, no malware risk, no cookies set from that site.

Why Preview a Website Before Visiting?

Clicking an unknown link can expose you to drive-by download attacks (malware that installs automatically when you visit a page), tracking scripts that fingerprint your browser, phishing pages that mimic login screens of legitimate services, and websites that redirect to malicious content only when accessed from certain IP addresses or devices. Previewing the site first lets you assess its visual appearance — is it a convincing clone of a well-known brand? Is the design low-quality and suspicious? — without any of these risks.

How the Safe Preview Works

When a website has been previously analyzed by ScamWebGuard, we store a screenshot taken at the time of analysis. This tool retrieves that cached image alongside the domain's safety score so you can make an informed decision. For sites not yet in our database, we show a prompt to run a full safety analysis which will capture the screenshot for future preview requests.

Signs of a Fake or Scam Website

When previewing a website, look for: design that closely resembles a well-known brand but with a different domain; poor image quality or broken layouts; contact pages with no physical address or only a generic email; absence of "About Us" or company information; suspicious payment method logos; and urgency-driven messaging ("Limited time offer", "Only 2 left in stock").
